Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ribals Oy handles personal data in the mobile game YOU ANIMAL and on the website ribals.com. The short version: the game does not collect any personal data, and we have no user accounts, ads or tracking.
Who we are
The data controller is Ribals Oy (business ID 3655632-6), Porvoo, Finland. You can reach us at hello@ribals.com.
The YOU ANIMAL game
- No accounts and no personal data. You do not need to sign up, and the game does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts or any other personal information.
- Data stays on your device. Your settings (sound, music, vibration), game statistics, level progress and lives balance are saved only on your phone. We cannot see them. Deleting the game deletes this data. In the browser version at ribals.com/youanimal, the same data is kept in your browser's local storage; clearing your browsing data for ribals.com deletes it.
- No ads, analytics or tracking. The game does not show ads, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
- In-app purchases. If you buy extra lives, the payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment card details. The store only tells the game that the purchase succeeded so the lives can be added.
This website
- ribals.com does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. The browser version of the game only uses local storage to remember your progress on your own device.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type in short-lived server logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
When you email us
If you contact us, we use your email address and the content of your message only to reply and help you. Our email is hosted by Zoho Corporation in the EU. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, at the latest two years after the matter is closed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message.
Children
Because the game collects no personal data, it collects none from children either. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use these rights, email hello@ribals.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
If the game or website starts handling data differently, for example by adding new features, we will update this policy and the date at the top before the change goes live.
